Day 1: Back roads to Moe, Maffra, Strattford, Dargo, Bairnesdale,
Nowa Nowa, and Orbost. 560 km. Accommodation: Commercial Hotel, $27.50
bed and breakfast. Incident: R1 (Ken W.) totalled on 35 km/h corner on Dargo Rd. Rider airlifted to Alfred. Three broken vertebrae and broken leg; out after 5 days - rehab for weeks.

Day 2: Cann River, Bombala, Cathcart, Candelo, Brown Mountain,
Cooma, Maffra (different one), Jindabyne,
Thredbo, Alpine Way, Corryong, Tintaldra, Walwa. 640 fantastic km.
Walwa Hotel (2 nights), bed and breakfast $22.
Incidents: TLR1000 (Peter D.) rear tyre lasted 1800 km - sourced a
new one in Canberra, rejoined ride next day.

Day 3: Khancoban, Cabramurra, Kiandra, Snowy Mountains Highway,
Tumut, Adelong, Rosewood, Tumbarumba, Tintaldra, Walwa, Granya Gap,
Tallangatta, Eskdale (Mitta Mitta), Tamgambalanga, Tallangatta,
Cudgewa (Corryong), Tintaldra, Walwa. 700 sensational km
Incidents: FJ1200 out of tyres - off to Albury; holed radiator -
fixed with bottle of Wynn's

Day 4:Murray Valley Highway, Granya Pass, Tallangatta, Gundowring,
Dederang Gap, Ovens, Oxley, Whitfield, Mansfield, Bonnie Doon,
Yarck. 530 km
Incidents: BM (Geoff) running on one cylinder traced to lost throttle plate
mechanism nut. Thread stripped. Temporary repair, rideable. Rear shock failed on Ben's ZXR - rock cut nitrogen cannister tube - lost oil.
