Dave Ward organised a dirt ride on Saturday March 25th at the Frankston Motocross Track, Wells Road, Seaford. Only Bronwyn showed, which is a bit disappointing. He crashed badly and broke his right ankle, which is now in plaster for the next six weeks. He also suffered ligament damage to his knee and is seeing the orthopaedic surgeon this Thursday (6th). He will be off work for a quite few weeks. We wish him a speedy and full recovery. Give him a call.

Road Conditions Reporting Line: 9854-2899 where motorcyclists can report road conditions and give suggestions for improvement on any road in Victoria.

Seen at our new Social Sip venue, the Blackburn Hotel: Ian Payne, Danny Vitts, Tom Saville, Andi Sirninger, Rob Langer, Kirsten, Dianne Welsford, Jeff Hornby, Rob Wordie, Danny Kosinski, Derek Atkinson, Kathy Robinson, Rob Matricciani, Mandy Flower, Steve, and Ben Warden. Sixteen people is a big improvement over our last meeting.

After selling his Suzuki RF900, Enzo Cunico decided to see what all the fuss was about and invested in a Harley Davidson. After a few weeks the lure of the sports bike proved too strong and he now is the proud owner of a Yamaha YZF1000 ‘touring’ bike.

Dave Hives has traded his black Kawasaki ZX7R in on a new black 2000 model Kawasaki ZX9R. Though not a member, he has been on a lot of rides with us over the years, and maybe this will embarrass him enough into forking out the moula. After all, what is $25 compared to the price of a rear tyre?

The Lake Mountain to Cumberland Junction stretch of dirt is now sealed, with Danny Kosinski being the first person to christen the new section on Thursday 2nd of March.

Ben Warden is a bit sore after taking a tumble off the Dominator. See article for details.

For the 4-day Easter break the Club has not organized a weekend away due to two high profile motorcycle events being conducted over the period: the World Superbikes at Phillip Island, and Bathurst. But there is a short ride on Easter Monday for those needing a fix. See itinerary.

The Committee is in the process of formulating a new itinerary for the period June to September. Any ideas for destinations, or volunteers to lead rides, please contact the any of the Committee. The two short rides a month format will likely be further trialed.

Next General Meeting is the Annual General Meeting. If you can’t be there, and want to vote, fill out a proxy form (see elsewhere) and return it to the Committee before the meeting.
