Sunday 5th Reefton and Black Spurs Tim Walker leading

9.30 am KBCP, 10.30 am Yarra Glen

According to Tim, this is the route: Yarra Junction, Warburton, Mt Donna Buang and back to Warburton for morning tea.. Then onto Reefton Spur and Cumberland Junction to Marysville for lunch. After lunch across the Black Spur to Healesville, Chum Creek Rd to Toolangi and across to Kinglake West and down the St. Andrews Rd breaking up at Kangaroo Ground. Best roads close to Melbourne though probably not suitable for inexperienced riders due to the number of corners and skill level required. Based on past experience it should be a top day. Expect around 350 km.

Sunday 12th Melbourne Tank Museum (short ride) Ron Johnston leading

10.30 am Hallam

Come and see some war relics. Amazing stuff. There is an entry fee but view it as a contribution to the upkeep of the museum. Besides, with the cost of petrol the way it is, the less you ride, the more money you make! Plenty of twisty roads. May suit a pillion due to the short ride format. Expect around 200 km for the day.

Thurs. 16th Social Sip, Elgin Inn Hotel, 75 Burwood Rd Hawthorn.

Not many there last time possibly due to the wintry conditions. Excellent food, no pokies, easy going cosy pub. Initial reports are very favourable. Check it out and make your own decision.

Sunday 19th Lavers Hill via the Great Ocean Road Ray Walker leading

9.30 am West Gate Shell Service Station

A traditional blast from the past style ride. World class scenery and roads. Morning tea at Anglesea if you are playing catch up. There are few cars after Lorne on the GOR making for an easier time. The best section is between Apollo Bay and Lavers Hill where the road crosses the Otway Ranges. Lavers Hill lunch should include pumpkin soup. Maybe back via Apollo Bay and Skene’s Creek or up from Lorne and Dean’s Marsh. Expect around 500 km for the day. Could be epic.

Sunday 26th Bass Geoff Barton leading

10.15 am Hallam

Who better to lead us deep into South Gippsland than Geoff Barton, who lives and breathes Gippsland Roads. Normal hard charge on a variety of roads. Expect 400 km. Note no city pickup.
