Road Conditions Reporting Line: 9854-2899 where motorcyclists can report road conditions and give suggestions for improvement on any road in Victoria.

Club Participant of the Year is starting again. Points are awarded for attending a ride or function such as a Club Meeting or Social Sip (1 point), leading a ride (extra point) and doing rear riding duties (extra point), as well as for writing contributions for the Club Magazine (limit 2 points per magazine). The usual suspects are already leading the charge.

Seen at the new format Annual General Meeting Sip held on May 3rd were Ray walker, Ben Warden, Ian Payne, Martin Quinn, Peter Doak, Darren Hosking, Jon Riddett, Ron Johnston, Tim Walker, Paul Tallents, Robert Matricciani, Rob Langer, Kirsten Anderson, George Moretti, Martin Hastie and friend, Ian Handforth, Peter Philferan, Derek Atkinson, Bruce Saville and Ric Brabbin.

Ben and Julie Warden are heading north for a couple of weeks' holiday visiting Ayers Rock, Kings Canyon and the gorges near Alice Springs. They will be very hard to contact during this period except by voicemail on the mobile when in range. They expect to be back Sunday 17th June. Send your articles to the usual post office box or email them to Ben. Any ride write-ups missing from this month will be printed next month (provided they are written of course).

Annual subscriptions are due at the end of the month. Please fill out the form at the back of the magazine and forward your cheque to the post office box below. The Club is a non-profit organisation - currently we are trying to stop making a loss! Members are the life-blood of the Club. Without you we will not survive. Last year our membership increased by nearly ten percent. This is an excellent result considering the number of leisure activities competing for our time and disposable income. Thanks to the members.

On the Glenburn Pub ride, Geoff Jones "shouted" the group drinks! No he hadn’t gone mad. It seems the printing company Geoff works for had wooed a major client away from the opposition and therefore his expense account could be "relaxed" a little. Thanks Geoff!

Rhys Williams christened his new ZX9 on the Eildon ride when he had to avoid an errant car driver! It was arguably 50/50 but Rhys came off second best. Minor cosmetic damage as they say.

The Club has a new post office box number. Our new postal address is PO Box 4132, Melbourne University PARKVILLE VIC 3052. Our old one will still work for a year or so.

It has been pointed out to me that Rhys Williams was in the top five (in the world) in the World Superbike tipping competition run on the MCNews tipping site. Go Rhys!

Ben Warden won the Castlemaine Fuel Economy Ride held on Sunday 27th May. Ron Johnston did the article but unfortunately the Editor forgot to print it! It is up on the web and will appear in hard copy next month. Sorry about that Ron. Pressure of life and all that.
