                        10am Whittlesea

So many good roads, so hard to choose. Plan A: First card, then Kinglake, Flowerdale, Strath Creek, Parrot Creek, Trawool, Tallarook, Seymour, 100 km of magnificent twisty roads. Second card and early lunch at Hamburger Hut. Onto Highlands, Caveat, obscure back roads, resurfacing at Yarck. On to Molesworh and Alexandra for lunch #2 and third card. Then Skyline road, Eildon Dam wall, Snobs Creek regroup and fourth card. Home via Taggerty, Marysville, Healesville and 5th card. Plan B. No plan B. Free membership to the winner. Expect around 350 km for the day with some different roads.

Sunday 15th     Strathbogie Ranges                                                                           Ron Johnston leading

                        10am Yarra Glen

You certainly get value for money on Ron’s rides and this will be no exception. The route will include Healesville, Chum Creek and Myers Creek roads, Black Spur, Marysville, Buxton, Taggerty, Thornton and Eildon for first stop after 120 km. Then around the scenic Skyline to Alexandra, Merton, and Euroa for lunch after a leisurely 88 km. Then southward bound to Avenel, Seymour Broadford, Strath Creek, and Flowerdale to finish up at Kinglake West, an easy 135 km. Many and varied road conditions, from tight and twisty, to dead straight; from spectacular mountain scenery to dead flat wheat country. Be there.

Sunday 22nd   Gembrook Counter Lunch  (short ride)                                                  Ian Payne  leading

1 pm Gembrook Hotel, 10 am Berwick

Note Berwick pickup, 5th exit past the old Hallam pickup. Ian lived at Cockatoo for many years and knows all the good roads. Could suit a pillion as only a short ride of about 150 km. Another option is to  drive or ride directly to the pub and meet us at 1 pm, if you are busy in the morning. Lots of good options.

Sunday 29th     Meredith                                                                                                Geoff Jones leading

10am West Gate Shell Service Station

We’ll head over The Bridge and exit at Kororoit Creek Rd and then heading north to pick up roads parallel to the Western Highway through Exford and on to the old Club Hill Climb at Mt Wallace. Then south into the Brisbane Ranges to Anakie, then around to Maude and Meredith for late morning tea. After the break we’ll head north to Ballan, Blackwood, Trentham and Daylesford for lunch, if we can find somewhere to park! The final loop will see us heading east through Spring Hill, Woodend, Lancefield, Pyalong and back to Strath Creek to break up at Kinglake West. The ride will be tailored to suit the weather conditions and the aspirations of the participants. Expect about 400 easy kilometres for the day.

Inglesby Rd Camberwell, Melways Reference 59J2

Catch up with the gossip, collect your magazine and save the Club some postage. You never know who you might meet. Ian will entertain us with a slide show of his amazing trip to South America.

Sunday 5th       Dams Ride                                                                                         Trevor Harris leading

                        10 am Yarra Glen

Come and see where your drinking water comes from, and get some history while you're at it.  We'll be visiting the Sugarloaf, Yan Yean, and Maroondah reservoirs. Then, depending on the weather, we’ll head over the Black and Reefton Spurs to the Upper Yarra Dam. Alternatively, we’ll head directly across to the Silvan and Cardinia reservoirs.  Possibly we'll do the lot, and work up a thirst...  Expect around 300 km for the day.
