The route will encompass Flowerdale, Strath Creek, Broadford, Pyalong and Lancefield for morning tea. Then a short loop up the Burke and Wills track and back to Carlsruhe and Woodend for lunch. Then we will ride up Mt Macedon to The Cross for 360 degree spectacular views across to the city. Next leg is across to Romsey and Wallan, then back to Whittlesea via the Eden Park twisties. Though nominally a short ride, the option exists to head up to Kinglake and back down the St Andrews Road to finish up at Kangaroo Ground General Store. Expect between 230 and 300 km for the day.

Join Ron on Friday for a fabulous ride down the whole length of the Great Ocean Road picking up Lorne, Apollo Bay, Lavers Hill, Port Campbell, Warrnambool and finally Portland where you will be staying at the Gordon Hotel. The tariff is $20 per head, per night. Three nights. Ron has booked various rooms, enough for eight people. Let him know of your intentions to guarantee a bed. Saturday will see a ride over to Mac(Namara) Park to catch the Historic Racing meeting at Mt Gambier. A BBQ Saturday night will be provided at Cliff and Barb Peters’ residence. On Sunday, a day ride around the local good roads will be organised, route depending on the weather. Or just have a restful day checking out the local sights. Home Monday. Note: Julie Johnston will be travelling by car and will stop at the West Gate Shell Servo Friday morning to wave off the group, and will stow luggage in the car and transport to Portland. Expect around 1500 km for the weekend. Good tyres are essential.

Likely route will include up and down Myers and Chum Creek roads, across to Warburton for morning tea and fuel for some. Then across the Reefton Spur To Marysville where the ride will disband. Expect around 180 km for the day. Normally a very well attended ride.

The World Superbikes are on at Phillip Island and the first race is early afternoon. The plan is to ride out to Labertouche, Jindavick, Noojee and Powelltown, then head back to Rob Langer’s residence (390 Burwood Highway, Burwood, near Middleborough Rd, Melways 61 E6)  for a Club funded BBQ and to watch the racing. Expect around 200 km for the day followed by a relaxing BBQ with friends. To facilitate catering, please give Rob a call to confirm your attendance on 9888-8977.
