Sunday 14th    Lancefield MotoGO BBQ                                                                   Ben Warden leading

                        10 am Whittlesea

Ditto. Due to the late printing of the magazine, this ride has also been completed. Stoner won the MotoGP. See next months magazine for writeup.

Sunday 21st    Archies Creek (Gippsland)                                                                 Ben Warden leading

                        10 am Berwick

The weather forecast is a fine 25 deg, perfect for riding. First stop Loch via usual good roads through Lardner, Ranceby and Nyora. Watch out for ducks.  So many good roads, so many choices. I’ve settled on heading south to Kernot, Glen Forbes and Archies Creek via a couple of loops. Another loop to Woolami and back to Archies Creek before looking for the best undiscovered sweepers in … the world … as we head through Kongwak to lunch at Korumburra after 106 km of non-stop corners.  Homeward bound we’ll head back up the Warragul Road (rosellas), around to Nilma, Neerim South (more unbelievable sweepers), and Jindivick to break-up at Longwarry North after another 90 km, making 310 km for the day. If your rear tyre has “one more ride”, don’t come. Tyre wear will be extreme.

Sunday 28th    Mt Donna Buang                                                                                  Dave Ward leading

                        10 am Berwick

Which bike? The Ducati1098 or the Honda CBR600?  The only way you will find out is to be on the ride. Probable route will be up and down Myers and Chum Creeks Roads and then across to Warburton for first stop at the Bakery. Then up to the lookout atop Mt Donna Buang, back down and around the Reefton Spur to Marysville for lunch. We may be all twistied out by this stage in which case a final ride across the Black Spur will finish us off. We may reach Kangaroo Ground via St Andrews. Expect 290 km for the day.

Thurs. 1st        Social Sip – 7 pm Mark’s Place, corner of Grattan and Swanston Sts Carlton

Collect your magazine, share a meal, catch up with the guys and all the gossip, discuss Club directions.
