Thanks to Trev and Barb for their generosity in opening their home, setting up the big screen, and organising the catering. Much appreciated by all.

Sunday 12th   Violet Town                                                                                         Ben Warden leading

                        10 am Yarra Glen

Still in planning at this stage but thinking Toolangi, Glenburn, Flowerdale, Yea for morning tea. Then getting across to Boho South and working north along very seldom seen roads to Violet Town and probably cow servo for late lunch in Euroa. The distances between petrol stops is a challenge. Back to Yea for fuel and final stop at Kinglake West. Expect around 390 km for the day.

Sunday 19th    Eildon                                                                                               Paul Southwell leading

                        10 am Whittlesea

A short ride today with the first stop at Alexandra after 93 km. We will have travelled through Yea and the Molesworth Road. After a leisurely lunch we’ll head across the Fraser National Park Road to Eildon, around to Thornton, back to Taggerty, Marysville and the Black Spur to Healesville to finish after another 104 km. Seeing I made this all up, it could be something completely different. Come and find out!

Sunday 26th   Sutton Grange                                                                                       Geoff Jones leading

                        10 am Whittlesea

First stop Lancefield via Strath Creek, Trawool and Pyalong for morning tea after about 115 km. Then across to Spring Hill, Hepburn Springs, Guilford and around to Castlemaine for a late lunch. Then a northerly loop picking up Sutton Grange and Mia Mia before heading south along the Burke and Wills Track back to Lancefield and Romsey before the final fling to Wallan. Lots of open roads mixed in with the occasional tight and twisty section around the gold rush areas. A great variety of interesting roads as you would expect on one of Geoff’s epic adventures. Expect around 360 km for the day.

10 am Berwick

Ken’s a local and knows lots of good roads in the Dandenong Ranges. While a few regulars are away riding around in the Snowy Mountains, Ken will lead an exciting ride through small towns such as Beaconsfield Upper, Pakenham Upper, Gembrook, Hoddles Creek and then the usual roads through Reefton and Marysville.  After the Black Spur and Healesville he’ll dive back into the hills for breakup  maybe as far south as Hallam near the freeway. Expect lots of corners protected from the wind by the trees.

Collect your magazine, catch up with the gossip, see your mates and sometimes their partners – a time for the partners to put a face to the names they have read about in the magazine. Enjoy a cheap pizza, view the sporting memorabilia, indulge in a rich cake, solve the share market crash.  Be there.
