New Member Impressions

I was still on my L plates when I came across the MSR website almost a year ago as I was Googling ride routes round Victoria. 50,000 kms later ... I was just a bit nervous about tagging along on my first ride with the group.

What would they think of little me and my little 250? Would they be anticipating a rather tedious ride with the 250 holding everyone up? I even rode past the servo and considered just riding off alone, but I’d come all this way and I’d run out of riding buddies so I thought ... I might as well.

Anyway, I’m happy I did. It’s nice not to be the one Face Booking, emailing, SMSing, phoning, cajoling people and organising rides for a change. I still feel a bit bad for holding up the rear rider, and I miss my friend Google Maps, but I'm lovin' the chase (despite the fact that it’s so incredibly frustrating and I'm so desperate to go FASTER)!

Thanks everyone for the great rides so far and for making me feel welcome. Skilled and fast riders are definitely my favourite type of people. See you on the next ride!
