MSR  Itinerary                      February 2010

 

Sunday 7th      

Noojee                                                                                                                       

Ha Du leading

10 am Yarra Glen

 

A leisurely ride through the eastern ranges.  The route will pick up Myers and Chum Creek Roads to Healesville, then along the back roads including the 1 km of packed dirt (Don Road) to Warburton for morning tea.  After the break, we’ll head down through Hoddles Creek to Pakenham Upper, Longwarry North, around to Jindivick and Neerim, and then up to Noojee for lunch.  To finish, it’s a short hop through Powelltown and Healesville to break up at the Beechworth Cafe.  Expect around 280 km.

 

Sunday 14th

Leg 1: Whittlesea, Kinglake West, Flowerdale, Strath Creek, Broadford, Glenaroua, Pyalong, Lancefield.
Leg 2: Lancefield, Cobaw, Carlsruhe, Spring Hill, Trentham, Blackwood, Bacchus Marsh. Lunch
Leg 3: Bacchus Marsh, Balliang, Staughton Vale, Anakie Junction, Durdidwarrah, Meredith.
Leg 4: Meredith. Steiglitz, She Oaks, Anakie, Anakie Junction, Werribee. Ride End. 330 km

 

Sunday 21st     

Thompson Dam

10 am Berwick

 

From Berwick we’ll make our way up through Harkaway, Pakenham Upper and Gembrook and ride across to Powelltown for morning tea after 90 km. Then a mixture of smooth sweepers and tight and twisty roads through to Nayook. On to Neerim South to pickup the Crossover sweepers and the Old Sale Road to Moe for fuel and lunch after 165 km. Next is Erica and Rawson before we head for the Dam to check Melbourne's biggest water storage reservoir. Then back to Rawson, around to Tyres and on to Moe for fuel after another 110 km. The return route will be through Hill End and Icy Creek to Noojee to regroup. Finish in Powelltown. That's 350 km more on your clock for the day and a few layers less on your tyre.  Be there! Ride will not suit inexperienced riders; not recommended for first time Club riders.

 

Sunday 28th    

Phillip Island World Superbike

Short ride picking up Gembrook, (new) Tonimbuk Road, Launching Place and Cockatoo followed by free BBQ at John Rousseaux residence, 5/20 Flower St Ferntree Gully. First race at 12 noon, so note early start. If travelling direct to Flower St, give John a call on 0412 880 537 or 9758-3315 to let him know you are coming, which will assist with catering.

Collect your magazine and save the Club some postage charges. Catch up with your fanatical motorcycling enthusiast mates, share a cheap meal and still be home by 10.30 pm.

 

Sunday 7th      

Euroa

10 am Whittlesea

 

Out through Flowerdale and on to the Molesworth road to Alexandra for morning tea. Then more loops to get to Merton and the fabulous twisties on the Euroa road where we'll lunch. In the afternoon we take Harry's Creek Road to Highlands and Yea to finish at Kinglake West. Expect a lazy 400 fun filled kilometres for the day.
