Sunday 24th January

Mt Donna Buang

Geoff Shugg leading

10 am Berwick

Geoff has kindly stepped into the leading breach as lots of the regular riders head north to the Snowy Mountains. He is leading a similar ride for the Ulysses Club but will delete the dirt sections out of deference to the sporting nature of our machines.  The route will pick up Harkaway, Upper Beaconsfield, Cockatoo, Pakenham Upper, Gembrook and Warburton for coffee after 85 km. Then it’s up Mt Donna Buang to enjoy the cool air and fine views. Then down again and around the Old Warburton Highway to Gladysdale, Powelltown and Noojee for lunch. The final hop will be back to Longwarry North via the Neerims and Jindivick. Expect around 220 km for the likely hot day.

Cliff Peters leading

10 am Berwick

Cliff and Cameron have been getting plenty of practice perfecting this ride mid-week while the rest of us have to work! From Berwick we’ll make our way to Longwarry, Jindivick , Old Sale Road, Moe and Tyers for fuel. If you fuel here you’ll not need to get any at Licola, the round trip of 210 km just in range for most bikes. Next we’ll head down 16 km of highway to Toongabbie and around to Seaton and Licola for lunch. The 23 km detour up to the Macalister River is optional but worth the trip. The return route will retrace our steps back to Tyers to break up at Longwarry North. Expect around 380 km for the day.
